The popularity of Nektarios Kephalas, Metropolitan of Pentapolis, provokes the jealousy of the clergy in Alexandria.
Fearing that he would become the next Patriarch of Egypt, the clergy slander him and as a result they deprive him of his hierarchical status and exile him from Egypt.
In Athens now, thanks to his advanced education, he becomes famous and loved by the people and at the same time indulges in great literary work.
But the workload overwhelms him and he decides to retire to Aegina.
He rebuilds a ruined monastery with his own hands and thanks to his reputation the monastery grows.
The monastery, however, is never recognized, while Saint Nektarios is unjustly accused of immorality.
At Aretaio Hospital shortly before his death, he will perform his last miracle.

The international sales of the film have been undertaken by Pure Flix / Quality Flix. In Greece, the film was scheduled to be released in cinemas distributed by Feelgood Entertainment on December 3, 2020, however due to the global pandemic this date has been pushed.
