As for the second season, it has been reported that filming began in
April 2023, with the entire cast returning for twelve episodes. Giorgos
Tsiakas remains as the script writer and Stamos Tsamis remains as the
director.
The series was expected to air this television year, but the demanding research into the unknown aspects of the Saint's life, in order to make the result as faithful as possible to the facts, extended the whole process.
In the second season, we will follow the return of the Saint to Konitsa in 1958, where the reconstruction of the Monastery of Stomiou began. Then it will show his move in 1962 to the Cell of Saints Galaktion and Epistemi on Mount Sinai and after two years his return to Mount Athos. Much of the story will be occupied with his moving into his cell in Panagouda, which he initially found abandoned and built from scratch. We will experience his great ascetic struggles and his incredible love for the world, the miracles he performed, but also the wonderful way he dealt with cancer, his hospitalization in Thessaloniki up to his final repose and his burial in the Hermitage of Souroti in 1994.
It is expected to air on Greek television in the next television season, likely in 2024.
